Discovery

Title: Discovery
Fandom: National Treasure
Story Rating: G to PG-13
Story Summary: A series of non-related one-shots, with slash, het, and gen. These are some of the discoveries Riley has made during his life.
Chapter Rating: G
Chapter Summary: During a stressful moment of treasure hunting, Ben starts to babble about anything that comes to mind. Riley (the one who usually babbles in such situations) is slightly confused and more than annoyed. A little snippet, only about 250 words, that I wrote based off my captcha of the day: Methinks percent.
Disclaimer: I do not own the National Treasure movies.

In Which Riley Isn't The Scared One For OnceCollapse )

"Yugi, I think I'm pregnant..."

No, Tea isn't pregnant. But my cousin Kelley is!

I knew this months ago, but now I'm invited to the baby shower. Which is this weekend, so I'll be bye-byes from Saturday morning to Sunday evening. We went shopping for a gift at Target and I had fun, 'cause it's gonna be a baby boy! Is it sad that I have more fun buying things for a boy? I'd probably have fun shopping for a girl, too, but I don't know if I would be as into it. I don't know. Anyways, I am a little nervous about this baby shower. Because I'm perfectly fine talking about babies when there's one present, but not so much before that. Kelley will be all "OMG, HI, KATIE! LET ME HUG YOU AND SMUSH YOU WITH MY PREGGERS BELLY!" and her mom will be all "MY BABY'S HAVING A BABY, WATCH ME WEEP WITH JOY!" and her friends will all be like "OH, WE'RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU!" while secretly hoping that Kelley will never need them to babysit for her because they're college students who like to party and not have their style crimped by a screaming baby. Yeah. And I'll kinda just be sitting there, talking to whoever wants to talk to me and being polite and nice while inside my head I'm wondering if I can sneak out the back door without anyone knowing and walk to Tommy and Lee's house to escape the out-of-control levels of estrogen. (Why do I hate girly talk so much? I mean, I'm fine being slightly girly around my friends, but everywhere else, it's just UGH. I'd rather be  playing video games with Tommy than gossiping with my pregnant cousin Kelley, what the hell is wrong with me?)

But don't let that rant fool you. I'm very happy for my cousin and I love her to death. I just don't want to go to her baby shower. I know, I'm a bad person. *scuffs ground with shoe*

ZOMG, Fangirlism!

March Madness is officially over! (Yes, I know I'm late, SHUT UP.) Bad luck there, my poor Mountaineers. Your loss killed my eardrums. *glares at her raving sports-fan mother* And why am I excited about the tourney ending? Because I get my shows back! YAY! This week has been awesome because of all the shiny new episodes. NCIS made me giggle - the bromance triangle!!! Did you watch it, dielakitty? If so, we must discuss. If not, tell me if you want me to fill you in. NCIS: LA was good, too. And yes, I watch it. I said I wouldn't when I first heard about the spin-off, but I cannot resist the funny partnership of Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell). I love their tech guy, too, but that's to be expected. I always like the tech people! And of course, Hetty is the bomb. She makes me laugh more than Sam and G.'s old married couple bickering does.

I have a question. Does it make me a bad person that, when I turned on channel 5 to watch Criminal Minds on Wednesday and found out they were having a news special on the mine disaster in MY STATE, I cursed and turned off the TV until my show came back on? It's not like I don't care. I watched everything else about the mine story and listened whenever they mentioned it on the radio. So, no, I am NOT going to feel guilty. *feels guilty for two seconds, then is possessed by her inner fangirl again* CRIMINAL MINDS! I didn't see the first half-hour, but the part I did see was great. They introduced the characters for the spin-off (WHAT IS WITH ALL THE SPIN-OFFS?!) and I must say, some of them were interesting. The boss dude was bad-ass (like seriously, he cussed at the BAU director lady!), but he's also a sweetheart. Like Gibbs from NCIS, except this guy shows his sweetheart side much more often. There was also this sharp-shooter man with some kind of sexy accent that kept hitting on Emily Prentiss and I already adore him because a) sexy accent, b) he's pretty sexy himself, and c) he saved Prentiss's life by shooting the UnSub from a rooftop - FROM BEHIND A NEON SPARKLY SIGN. No, I'm not kidding. That definitely earned him points in my book. As for the other members on that team? I can't give an opinion on them, because I missed the first half-hour and their characters weren't explored much. On a random, side note: HOTCH SMILED. That is all.

After Criminal Minds on Wednesday, I watched one of my favorite USA shows: In Plain Sight. I totally forgot that the season three premiere was last week, but I didn't forget this episode! And I won't forget it for some time. Mary and Marshall keeeell meeee. They need to have babies. Really smart, really kick-ass, really pretty babies. With abandonment issues (not really). Except Mary would probably throw the kid out the window after the first night of it crying. Gotta love that gal! Seriously, Marshall Mary Shannon and Marshall Marshall (LOL) Mann are my current favorite het pairing on TV right now. They make me flail. Especially this week, because we got to see how they met. It went about as well as I expected. He called her a lunatic and she called him a girl.  They bickered constantly. Not much has changed, really. And it was sweet to see the moment when Marshall started to fall for Mary. WHICH HE TOTALLY DID. *hugs her personal canon, even though Mary is currently engaged to a man who is not Marshall* Though, for reals, you can tell Marshall loves Mary these days. He even said so last season, at her engagement party. It was less awkward than you think. He said it in that "I love you 'cause you're my best friend!" way, but the expression on his face when she first told him about her engagement was painful to see. And I laugh this season, because Mary still isn't wearing her engagement ring - even at home. I understand why she wouldn't wear it at work. U.S. Marshalls kinda need to be chameleons sometimes. But she has no excuse when she's off duty. And poor Raph (her fiance) is starting to notice. Is she having second thoughts? GASP! If she does decide to call off the wedding, I hope she does it soon, so that the blow isn't as bad for Raph. This show and making me like all the characters, even when they're in the way of my favorite pairing! I love Raphie, though. He's such a sweet guy, but not the guy for Mary. Mary knows it, Mary's family knows it, Marshall "will not comment" but subtly communicates that he knows it, even Raph himself knows it! I was kinda hoping that Mary's little sister, Brandi, would run away with Raph. They had a thing once and he'd be good for her and she'd be the princess he wants that Mary can never be and - oh yes, Raph/Brandi would be so much better. *takes deep breath*

Yeah, that was the longest thing I've posted on here that wasn't a fanfiction. I'm impressed. Though it was still about my fangirlism, so I guess it's not much of an accomplishment. I applaud you if you've made it to the end of this, because that was a long ramble. I'd apologize for it, but I needed to get my ZOMG-ness out of my system and ranting is what journals are for. 'Til next time, mon petit chou. (Yes, I just called you a cabbage. DEAL WITH IT.) Godsdamnit, I need to cut back on the chocolate.

The Sea Sprite of New Orleans (1/1)

Yeah, this is me, giving in to writing Percy Jackson fanfiction. Something longer than a drabble, I mean. Though it still isn't very long. *rolls eyes at self*

Title: The Sea Sprite of New Orleans
Fandom: the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series
Spoilers for: Titan's Curse, Battle of the Labyrinth, and Last Olympian. Or I could just make it easy and say the whole series.
Rating: PG-13? The f word is only said once...
Warnings: Cussing, angst, and brief mention of prostitution.
Pairings: Nico/OFC; one-sided Percy/Nico.
Summary: Nico, trying to distance himself from Percy, often shadow-travels to New Orleans. Why New Orleans? It's just his kind of town. On an evening of strolling in the French Quarter, he meets a girl he could easily fall in love with - but there's a slight problem.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

Nico wouldn't call New Orleans his favorite city in the world...Collapse )
I saw Alice In Wonderland the other day and wish to share my thoughts. As to not spoil it for anyone (dielakitty), I've put my rambles under a cut.

Spoilers under cut! Beware!Collapse )

Four Kingdom War (Extras)

This is just an 'extra' chapter. Read it if you want, but don't need to.

Title: Four Kingdom War
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating and Warnings: PG-13 for language, sexual references, and some violence. MASSIVE AU, LIKE WHOA.
Summary: Like hell I'm writing that whole thing out again. All you need to know is: Draco and Harry are princes in an AU English history where the Hogwarts houses are kingdoms (and are at war with each other). They fall in love and a bunch of dramatic and tragic stuff happens. The end.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.
Pairings: Draco/Harry, Sirius/Remus, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Luna, Seamus/Ginny, Blaise/Pansy, Fred/Angelina, George/Katie, and some others I can’t think of right now.

Previous Chapters: Chapter One, Chapter Two

Extras: Several Letters of Various ImportanceCollapse )

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (1/1)

Short silly one-shot I did for the White Collar kink meme. This has no sex, I promise you. Not even kissing.

Title: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: PG/PG-13?
Warnings: Neal using his charms to get close to a suspect. But seriously, that happens all the time on the show, so you should be expecting it. There is mention of off-screen gayness (read previous warning) and a jealous Lauren Cruz. Now THAT'S something to be scared of.
Pairings: off-screen Neal/OMC, and Peter/Neal (if you squint real hard). It's mostly just flirtation.
Summary: Cruz gets pissed at Peter for sending in Neal for an undercover job instead of her. Peter feels he made the right choice. Neal is just amused.
Disclaimer: I do not own White Collar. Or the idea for the fic, actually. Thank you anon, for posting such a great prompt.

The intro is almost longer than the fic, WTF?

Guy steals 3.2 million in diamonds and we get him because he can’t resist a pretty face.Collapse )

A Mother's Perspective (1/1)

This a one-shot. I will NOT be convinced to do anymore with it, as I don't have the motivation to.

Title: A Mother's Perspective
Rating: PG
Warnings: Uh... suspicions of mental illness? But we know Sora's not crazy, 'cause we've played the game, so it doesn't really matter.
Summary: How would Sora's mother react to Roxas?
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Kingdom Hearts games. It would be wicked awesome if I did, though.

Because there was no one else in the room with Sora...Collapse )

Four Kingdom War (2/?)

Four Kingdom War (1/?)

I must really like the whole Romeo and Juliet scenario. Ah, forbidden love.

Title: Four Kingdom War
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating and Warnings: PG-13 for language, sexual references, and some violence. MASSIVE AU, LIKE WHOA.
Summary: Have you not heard of the Four Kingdom War? Well, if a tale about two young princes from quarreling kingdoms interests you, then pull up a chair and make yourself at home. My name is Cecilia Andromeda Black and my ancestors left me a fascinating book… A book that contains the true story of the Gryffindor and Slytherin princes. But that’s not all, my friends! It also recounts the bond between one of my past grandfathers and his half-breed lover. Do you feel inclined to read such a spin? I certainly hope you do. Welcome, guests, welcome to my library! Feel free to look around! (YES, I AM A DORK)
